#DigitAll Campaign
An evolving digital landscape needs to be inclusive and accessible to disabled people…
Why is Digital Accessibility an important campaign priority?

Over the last couple of decades, the digital world has become an invaluable component of people’s everyday lives from education to work and from enabling communication between people to entertainment through film/tv and video games.
However disabled people often face exclusion from the digital world due to inaccessibility.
Currently there is little to no protections/provisions for digital accessibility in UK legislation e.g. Equality Act 2010, Disability Discrimination Act 1998 etc, or the UNCRPD.
Other countries such as the United States and the EU have legislated for some provisions I.e. Communication and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA) or European Union’s Accessibility European Accessibility Act (EAA) of 2025. (Unfortunately this legislation doesn’t apply to the UK since Brexit.).
Less than 1% of websites are accessible.
– AbilityNet
The inaccessibility of websites, software and digital entertainment restricts disabled people’s ability to have equity in accessing information, using software and connecting with family and friends. This has the side effect of a loss of opportunity in work and education as these have become more reliant on digital resources and software.
“A simple task that would take an anyone else minutes, can sometimes take hours sometimes, finding accessible alternatives that work with assistive technology”
Andrew Hamilton, founder of Just Include.
Time for Change.
DigitAll is a campaign which aims to change the way accessibility in our digital world is viewed from websites, applications to the entertainment industry i.e. film, TV and video games. And to lobby the UK government and devolved institutions to introduce robust protections and measures to ensure disabled people.
